To Be A Donor

Reliance on public funding is shrinking, and even when our box office is extremely successful, it can only bring in between 50-65% of the revenues required to operate an accessible and affordable professional summer theatre festival. We must therefore rely on private contributions from people who value such a theatre.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged with a tax receipt and inclusion in our program and on our website, if desired.

By donating to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, you are contributing not only to the success of our company, but also to the continuation of the Arts in Saskatoon.

Please complete and return the attached donation form.

“I can no other answer make but thanks,
And thanks, and ever thanks;”
(Twelfth Night, Act III, Sc. iii)

To Be A Sponsor

Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan has certainly had a long and vibrant history in our beautiful city; but without the incredible support of our generous festival sponsors we would never be able continue doing what we do.

Sponsorship of our festival is a strong commitment to our community. Our culturally enriching productions provide families with an opportunity to enjoy the magic of professional live theatre in an affordable and friendly environment. Our student workshops and second stage activities are a valuable educational experience for today’s youths; and we are also a major source of tourism in Saskatoon, attracting over 14,000 individuals each year from across the Province, Country, and as far away as Paris and Zimbabwe! Our tents are a haven for local artists and technicians to hone and display their skills, allowing them to perfect their craft and earn a living here in Saskatchewan.

Sponsorship can not only provide your company with the benefit of being associated with a successful and respected festival; it is a testament to your involvement in our community and commitment to the arts. This message will be communicated to our enthusiastic patrons through a number of promotional materials that will expand your company’s exposure and establish a positive profile in our community.

For more information, contact Trevor Broughton at 653-2300 to discuss some of the great sponsorship opportunities available this season.

To Be A Volunteer

Incorporated in 1985, Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival Inc. provides unique interpretations of the works of Shakespeare and others in our tents on the river bank of the South Saskatchewan River. For all of our years, volunteers have been essential to the success of the Festival.
